How do you even plan a wedding? Even more questions that need answered. We’re here to answer all of the questions and more. We are Austins premier queer, alternative, and non-traditional proposal and wedding planner.

Hey! I’m Celeste (they/them), the founder and head planner here at SYP Events Co. in Austin Texas. I love serving Austin and the surrounding areas because this city is my home. I didn’t always live here, but I was born here. I was raised between Texas and South Carolina, living in multiple different areas within each state. I graduated high school from Abilene High and immediately moved to NYC as fast as I could. I had only one thing on my mind, acting. I studied at the New York Film Academy for acting for film and learned how fast time really does fly in NYC. After a few years in the Big Apple it felt like it was time to come back south and I knew there was only one place I wanted to be, Austin, Texas.
A wedding is a lot like a stage play. Setting, timing, and the right cast are needed to make it perfect! I mean think about it, you even do a rehearsal. Having the right wedding planner is like picking the director. We see your vision and bring it to life. This is how I incorporated all my years of acting and directing for film and stage into becoming a wedding and event planner. You are the stars of the show and I am here to help you shine! With the best team and vendors around I am able to help you make your wedding day everything you could dream of.
Deciding to start my business in Austin was no coincidence. As a queer and gender nonconforming person, I knew the best place to put a business specifically designed to serve the LGBTQ+ community was here. Texas has a lot of work to do but Austin is putting that work in. I have met so many amazing individuals working in this industry who are here to help carve out space for our community where there was none before. I am honored to live in a city that is building a network of beautiful people to serve our community.
